2024 HOS Survey Vendors

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) developed the Medicare Health Outcomes Survey (HOS) Vendor Program to establish standardized data collection to promote comparability of results across Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAOs). MAOs contract with a CMS-approved HOS survey vendor to administer the survey using a mixed mode (mail and telephone) protocol. To become a CMS-approved HOS survey vendor, an organization must demonstrate that it has the capability, experience, and personnel to collect and report accurate HOS survey results.

Survey vendors administer the HOS using the HEDIS protocol described in HEDIS Volume 6 and adhere to all guidelines in the 2024 Medicare Health Outcomes Survey Quality Assurance Guidelines and Technical Specifications (QAG), including guidelines for protecting member confidentiality and requirements for protocol adherence. This table lists the survey vendors that were approved to administer the HOS in 2024. The 2025 approved survey vendors and updated contact information for the organizations will be posted here once the survey vendors successfully complete HOS survey vendor training in March 2025.
